Children's Imagination

Fortress bunk beds with a blanket to hide
The secret treasure that's guarded inside.
It might be a ticket to see a show
Or maybe a suitcase that's ready to go
To a faraway place that's unknown and free,
A land of enchantment across the sea
Where animals play a game of great fun,
And eat chocolate cookies after they're done.

This fortress protects from any type foe:
A villain or Indian with a bow.
Sometimes the enemies come from next door,
Or they may travel from Sicily Shore.
It doesn't quite matter who storms the gate;
The castle is safe from the rage and hate.
Those who retreat to this haven agree
This room is the happiest place to be!
